Set it up once on your first shirt, then place every pocket and sleeve transfer in exactly the same spot. Heat-safe to 320°F (160°C).

Quick Fixes — Read This Before Returning

• “It warped.” Reversible. Heat press at 320°F (160°C), guide on the platen with no shirt, silicone sheet on top, close for 30 seconds, then cool flat. Repeat if needed. Check your press with an infrared thermometer — many run 5–15°F hot.
• “The placement moves between shirts.” All three references must be set every time: pins seated in the pocket or under the sleeve hem, zero line on the pocket edge or hem, and centreline on the garment centreline (Step 5).
• “It’s too small for a full front.” This guide is for pockets and sleeves. Use the Heat-Safe T-Shirt Ruler for full-shirt and chest.

Why Pockets and Sleeves Are Different

On a pocket or sleeve, the reference is the pocket edge or sleeve hem — and that moves between brands, sizes and cuts. So the guide indexes to the garment itself with three references: a zero line you line up with the pocket top or sleeve hem, reference pins on the underside that seat into the pocket or under the hem, and a printed centreline you match to the garment centre.

Before You Start

• In the mailer: one Heat-Safe Pocket and Sleeve Placement Guide and a quick-start card.
• Have ready: a permanent marker, double-sided or heat-resistant tape, a heat-press pillow, and a silicone sheet.
• Legacy Amazon stock may have protective film — peel it before the first press.

How To Use It — Set Up Once, Repeat Many

1. Find the centreline. Sleeve: line up the shoulder and underarm seams and press a crease from shoulder to cuff. Pocket: mark the centre of the pocket top edge.
2. Press a calibration shirt. Place the first transfer by eye or with a ruler and press it. This shirt is your reference for “right”.
3. Mark the guide. Lay the guide on the calibration shirt, pins in the pocket or under the hem, zero line on the edge, centreline on the crease. Trace the transfer outline on the top of the guide.
4. Load the next transfer. Turn the guide over and tape the transfer to the underside, lined up with your marks.
5. Position and press. Put a pillow inside the pocket or sleeve. Seat the pins, align the zero line and centreline, cover with a silicone sheet, and press for the transfer maker’s time plus 5 seconds. For transfers above 320°F: tack at 300°F for 10 seconds, remove the guide, then press at full temperature without it.

Repeat steps 4–5 for every shirt. Warning — the guide will be hot. Use heat-rated gloves.

Looking After Your Guide

• Clean marker off with isopropyl alcohol or methylated spirits. No acetone.
• Store flat, out of long-term sunlight.
